10 out 10 for the coffee. I returned today to try the food and wasn’t disappointed. The satay pork special was delicious, as were the kedgeree and the corn fritter wrap. Great selection of Indonesia/Korean fusion options, along with classic cafe staples. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the St Peter’s area.

Pros - well priced & the milk based coffee my girlfriend ordered. Pork satay skewers are delicious & would happily got those again. Cons- batch brew I ordered was quite a dark roast which didn’t really lend itself to having much flavour beyond a strong black coffee taste. The tempeh burger came out on not a burger bun & felt a bit dry overall. Overall, a decent experience of somewhere I’d try again. I think the filter coffee needs work & I expected a bit better from somewhere that roasts their own beans. I am aware a lot of Indonesian coffees are very dark roast but that profile doesn’t really suit filter coffee. Would eat here again but wouldn’t rush back or order filter coffee.

Good coffee. Blueberry ricotta muffin best I’ve ever had tasty & moist. Went back for lunch had the pulled pork wrap good portion size for me great flavour. Staff both times very friendly and polite. Also serves water with coffee 👍

I've rediscovered Aslan yesterday. New ownership and I like what they have done. Food is much better now than it was, I have only tried soba salad and avo toast so far, both were delicious. Coffee remains great and they offer lactose free milk which is becoming harder to find elsewhere. Staff are very friendly. This place is greatly improved from years gone by. Congrats.

This place was really good and still is for the coffee. But the food has taken a back step. Every other thing from the regular dishes have had a change in taste as the chef has changed. Bring back your old chef. My review from 3 years ago: Consistently serving good coffee for coffee snobs like from Melbourne! Skewers are a must try and so is their rendang. Close to a kid friendly park
