Well where do I start. First things first. The burger I ordered tasted like it was made ten years ago and don’t forget the chips, smelt like fish and I didn’t even order fish. The smell of the place was uncalled for. If I wanted to smell something like that bingo waste tip. Like the hygiene absolutely 0/10.

Update: Food quality has decreased significantly since new ownership. Its a shame for me to have to update my review from 5 stars to 2. I used to look forward to getting my takeaway here, but after a few experiences of bland, Soggy chips, I will have to take my business elsewhere. Service is okay and I hope the new owners can get it right. Previous post (5 stars): Love this humble fish and chip shop. Just moved into the area and knew from first sight that these guys were going to be great. They're a local icon and I've learned have been around for ages. Food is well priced and harkens back the ethereal memories of family-run milk bars of the 90s. George and Harry are a mainstay of the community and provide great banter. A charming local business with a heart of gold. Will be coming back time and time again for sure. Burger with the lot and a bag of fish and chips please!
