We didn't stay at this place overnight but dropped on as we'd heard good things about the food. It was a very pleasant experience. The view is awesome, the food great, the price reasonable. we'll be back soon. .... This time, I had "bangers & mash" as the Kab Loin was not available. It was just as great.

We recently visited archibald hotel and had an overall great experience. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was spot on. The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. However, the only downside was a very off putting smell when we were first seated. It was extremly noticeable, but fortunately, we were able to move tables, we were quickly seated in a much better spot with an amzing, and I mean amazing view! Once we were settled, everything else was perfect. Despite the unpleasantness smell, the quality of the food and the excellent service more than made up for it. We’d definitely recommend this place to others and will likely return in the future!

We have been coming to Archibald for years now. We loved the food, view and the vibe so much that we have driven 1-2 hrs just to dine in or get their amazing pizza for takeaway. However, for the past 1–2 years the quality of the food has been steadily declining. We went their today and the food was not at all good and the price point was extremely high. On top of that they change about 8% surcharge on Sundays. What a shame. Might just go through the trouble of visiting again for drinks and views but definitely not the food.

View is awesome but everything else was disgraceful.. The high "public holiday" surchange on new years eve afternoon was a rort, it's not a public holiday (found out about surcharge from bartender on buying last drink, hence why it was the last we bought), the food took an hr to arrive & was burnt so badly it was not edible, it was disgusting & not chewable, I would have sent it back if it didn't take so long to arrive in the first place, the place wasn't overly packed either, they ran out of cutlery & some drinking glasses, the table was so sticky we actually stuck to it while leaning on it, it's been years since we visited, so thought we'd go for a meal, it used to be an awesome pub, but we'll never go back now....

Really nice views and outdoor area is great for lunch. Food is great, be warned they charge 8.5% surcharge on Sundays. Won't come back just on that.. such a shame really.
