I do miss these sort of old school fish & Chip shops that I grew up with. They wrap their (substantial portion) thick golden chips (not fries) with paper, and hand it to you like a parcel. And they have gravy! Burgers are burgers: it was tasty, and you can enjoy it without making a huge mess. Win. You see the locals coming in to get their lunch on, with the owner greeting them in a familiar fashion. Had their burger and small chips with gravy. A very satisfying meal for $15.50. You don't get that sort of value proposition much anymore. I highly recommend stopping by for a munch if you're close by.

I recently visited Andy's Takeaway in Shortland and had a rather delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Old school style fish and chips. We ordered the seafood basket, crumbed fish and potato scallops. Loved that it wasn’t greasy, but could have done with a bit more salt! Overall great fish and chip shop.

Bought a potato scallop sandwich off them they charged me 8.00 ,how can that be ? Won't be going back ,rip off.... I rang and checked price as my partner was in the shop,so you did serve him . There is no excuse for this price .
