Had a fantastic experience at this Turkish restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The staff was attentive and friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding—especially the lamb shoulder, which was cooked to perfection and full of rich, authentic flavors. To top it off, the dessert was a real treat! The baklava was flaky, sweet, and paired perfectly with a cup of Turkish tea. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service and delicious food. Definitely a place I’d recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

This Turkish restaurant, situated on the waterfront, presents an intriguing menu of traditional Turkish dishes. It also offers a selection of hard-to-find Turkish wines, which, in our opinion, are excellent, though their appeal may be limited to those familiar with the region. Unfortunately, during our visit, several of the wines listed on the menu were unavailable, which was disappointing. Furthermore, the service was somewhat chaotic from the moment we arrived. The staff engaged in a loud debate about where to seat us, and then attempted to take our order before we had even been presented with the menus. However, this chaos, and the associated negotiations, ultimately proved to be a sign of authenticity, as it mirrored the lively and sometimes unpredictable atmosphere one might find in a true Turkish establishment. We ordered a variety of dishes, from appetizers to main courses, meant to be shared in the Mediterranean tradition. Without exception, they were well presented and extremely well executed, adhering closely to the original Turkish recipes, with which we are very familiar. The restaurant is not cheap; we paid $150 Australian dollars per person, including one glass of wine and tip. Furthermore, the restaurant has the audacity to charge diners an additional 10% on weekends, a fact not disclosed upfront, which we found to be a rather unwelcome surprise. For dessert, we ordered "Keshkul," typically an almond pudding, here made with coconut. Again, it was beautifully presented and a worthy innovation or improvement on this classic Turkish dessert. While the inventory management could be improved, and the initial service was a bit disorganized, the restaurant's commitment to authentic cuisine and its selection of Turkish wines are commendable. However, the lack of transparency regarding the weekend surcharge is a significant negative. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. We are always looking for reliable and transparent businesses and hope the owner will take this feedback into consideration.

I recently dined at Anason, a Turkish restaurant in Barangaroo, and had an exceptional experience. The manti, traditional Turkish dumplings, were a delightful discovery for me. Each bite offered a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the chef’s expertise in authentic Turkish cuisine. The staff at Anason were incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcome and well-cared for throughout my visit. The restaurant’s ambiance, combined with its waterfront location, provided a perfect setting for a memorable meal. I highly recommend Anason to anyone seeking a genuine Turkish dining experience in Sydney.

The food and service are amazing! I highly recommend coming here and will definitely be back in the future. The stone baked bread and hummus were delicious, and the octopus was tender and nicely charred. Highly recommend trying these dishes.

Good Food and Great Service. This Turkish Restaurant is a nice place to eat in if you want to try something new and explore the flavours of Turkish dishes fused with elements of Australian cuisine. Each dish is a delight and introduces a variety of tastes in the tongue. I recommend this restaurant for its ability to cater well to their customers and provide a good dining experience for people to enjoy food with a comforting ambience by the sea.
