Service was the worst I’ve ever seen. The 1 star is too much! food took two hours and owner was arrogant and obnoxious, guacamole and sour cream look like vomit. Place was dirty with cockroaches on wall. After one hour of waiting, we were handed completely wrong order with zero sympathy. Little reimbursement too as owner mocked poor night on exit.

This place used to be my go to every Tuesday and Wednesday however I’m not sure what has happened in recent months but the restaurant has gone downhill. Taco Tuesday used to be $2.50each for tacos and the gringo tacos were very good quality. Prices are now $5 and the quality doesn’t even come close. They don’t offer the gringo tacos anymore. The birria tacos are not birria tacos (see image below of them), not sure what was used for the consomè but it was very bitter, gluggy and had sour cream in it. We also waited over an hour for the tacos to be served and could see a lot of other tables waiting and unhappy as well to the point people were walking out. Sad to see such a great place go downhill like this, hopefully management does something about the issue as it was once a great place to eat every week Also the poor reply from management clearly show they don’t care about their customers anymore

Been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed yet. The design of the restaurant is so different to everywhere else I’ve been. The cocktail jugs are such a good deal for groups being able to get drinks for the table at a reasonable price of $36. The food is always delicious and you definitely get your moneys worth for what you buy. The service is a bit slower than other places with our drinks coming out after our food but most likely this is due to its own success. Always a pleasure eating here and will definitely be back.

One of our favourite restaurants, which we make sure we visit when we're down in Wollongong. Mouth-watering, delicious meals in very generous portions (huge!). A great selection of drinks (and cocktails). Always friendly, prompt service. This restaurant is always a hit with our family and has been so since our kids were toddlers They're now in their teens! My only suggestion is that the lighting be a little brighter - it's a little too dark for my 'mature' eyes to read the menu (cue the phone's torch function).

Atmosphere and staff are great. When I entered, I was getting ready for an amazing experience, but the food was so bland. I have been in Wollongong for two weeks with work and I have eaten some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. I had walked past Amigos a few times and finally went in tonight to try it. Huge serving, but tasted so bland. The avocado was definitely a pre-made mix or dip. I could make something nicer from an Old El Paso mix. I started eating the rice to cleanse my pallet and found under cooked grains. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but this is honestly one the most disappointing meals I’ve ever eaten
