Dinner for two Like any other decent Chinese restaurant, service was fast and efficient. The Fried rice could have had more flavour. Standard Chinese menu items. The Peking pork ribs was tasty, the sauce was great. Chilly chicken, I expected it to be a little more dry but it was made well enough. Over all OK dinner.

I have known this place for its fame on its high quality Chinese food and quiet yet warm environment. Today I ordered fried rice, noodle and dumpling. After my companion and I had a bite each we realised that the dumplings were still cold (some part felt frozen). When I informed this to the staff they professionally and friendly handled the matter and made a new dish. I wanted to express how I highly appreciate your services and really enjoyed my time

We often dine at 8 Dragons & have always felt happy after dining there. On Friday night, we decided to order lobster with noodles but a lady who we don't always see there (believe she is the owner) talked us into ordering live crab instead. She even took a live crab out from the kitchen to show us the size & what will be cooked for us (both claws were of the same size). She said the lobster dish will be from a frozen lobster (which I wasn't sure as we have never ordered lobster at this restaurant). Anyway, the cooked crab in clay pot came out & the crab was covered with lots of vermicelli. When I wanted to serve the two big claws to my parents, I only found one big claw. The other claw was extremely small, only about 1/3 of the big claw. After telling the lady who showed us the crab, convinced us to order the crab dish & took our order, her reply was "Impossible..." then she walked away. She didn't apologise, do anything afterwards but pretended that nothing was wrong with the dish. "Please... if you charged us that much, give us what we deserved, what you had showed us (not a frozen crab)." Services from other staff have always been good. They also imposed a surcharge on payment by credit card and Chinese tea was $1.50 pp - both I don't remember paying before. (The small claw looks bigger in the picture as it was crushed & flattened.)

Wandered past this one and popped in for lunch. Super quick service and very friendly staff. Let me bring my own sweet chilli sauce in, I often wonder why most places don’t have it, it’s the best on dumplings! Great steamed dumplings and pork buns. Fried dumplings were really nice just a little bit of nice inside.
