Came in on a Friday night, very cold outside, nice and warm in the restaurant. Small venue but is cosy and looks to seat about 30 patrons. We opted for the 2 / 3 course special + wine. Great value, lamb and rump were cooked excellent. Seasoning was great. All round an enjoyable night 👍🏻

Excellent value food. Been here a few times and it's always a great experience. The location means you don't walk past it as much as restaurants on the other side of Victoria Rd, but it's well with a visit I hear they do a great lunch special too but haven't tried that. A very impressive wine list with a nice selection of wines and bubbles available by the glass too!

Great food and decor. Chef Tom out did himself with the prawn spaghetti and lamb, both left us drilling for more. My steak tartare was thoroughly enjoyable and my wife didn't even let me have a bite of her scallops. Funniest thing was bumping into an old work mate in a completely setting (restaurant). Great night! Will be back!

1947 Brassiere is the newly crowned king of the inner west! French themed menu and decor, unending list of wine and spirits, and food so delicious that my knees buckled. This place has it all. The wait staff were so courteous and helpful. Food was cooked to perfection. We were a large group so we tried almost all the items on the menu. The sea food platter was truly divine. One would have to be eating in the ocean for anything more fresh. The spaghetti was creamy with the right degree of unctuousness, I had to use my finger to get every bit of the sauce from the plate. My favourites as the rack of lamb. Perfectly grilled and served on a bed of peas and bacon with a side of the creamiest mash - délicieux. But the spotlight of the evening was the dessert, and to forget the coffee! The Black Forest trifle was a masterpiece. The coffee alone was worth driving a hour to get there. And that’s understating it. Will definitely be going back there.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, we just came back from Paris and this rivals Paris restaurants, everything we had was prepared with care, beautifully plated and flavoursome. We had a vegan celeriac starter, a faux scallop style entree which was divine! For mains, my husband had the beef tenderloin special and I had the pumpkin pasta, accompanied with two fantastic sides. Every bite was full of flavour and definitely not something I could pull off at home. This was our second visit, and we'll be looking forward to returning. Thanks to the team!
