There is always a nice, buzzing atmosphere at 10 William St. The crab pasta was delicious, other dishes were good but not great, ie the tuna crudo felt under seasoned, as one of the main elements was the cherry yet it wasn’t a very flavourful cherry so the dish felt mild. Service also felt a bit rushed, especially considering we were in their final seating time slot so they didn’t need our table for anyone.

My 3rd visit, food and service have been consistently good. Despite staff were always rushing, you could still tell they tried to do their best. A bustling little restaurant contrasting a quiet neighbourhood. Menu is small yet creative with fresh ingredients. We had simple pasta, but OMG so delicious! Pretzel with whipped bottarga was unique and impressive. My son’s favourite beef tartare not on the menu this time he was disappointed! He doesn’t drink so I resorted to wine by the glass, good variety for a small restaurant. Tiramisu was insanely good, delicately balanced! Will definitely come back! So popular, must book to avoid disappointment!

Small space, intimate vibes, a small but mighty menu, and an extensive wine list, this low-key Italian bar restaurant in Paddington is definitely one that local kept to themselves. Iconic pretzel with whipped bottarga, perfectly crunchy, seedy, soft, and chewy (never dry) pretzel is already a winner, paired with that umami-packed bottarga, it’s addictive and absolutely a must-order. The tagliolini with red mullet and saffron was a standout - rich, umami-packed sauce and perfectly al dente pasta. The lamb cutlet was a solid follow-up, and we wrapped it up with a classic slice of tiramisu.

Mixed feelings about 10 William Street as two people in our party of 3 got sick. We were excited to go as heard so many good things in general about the food and in particular the warm pretzel and whipped bottarga, and it was brilliant. As was the asparagus and the zucchini flowers. But the pork ragu had a tangy taste and the two people in our party that had the dish ended up with food poisoning. Which was a shame as the rest of the food was really good. The restaurant is cosy and noise levels pretty loud.
