Description
The workshop will explore the role of allied health clinicians in supporting a patient & family with a life limiting illness as they approach end of life. It will be interactive and provide ample time for discussion through case presentations and examples.
Topics include:
Principles of Palliative Care
Establishing goals of care and maximising function for EOL
Communication and language used in palliative care
Multi-disciplinary roles in caring for palliative patient & family
Symptom recognition and understanding
